Beyond the Notes is proud to collaborate with AUREA Ensemble to present Listen!—an eclectic program designed to heighten our appreciation for the sounds and silences that enrich our lives. This event explores the connections between sound, nature, music, and poetry. The program features works by Bach, Dohnányi, Piazzolla, Caroline Shaw, and the exceptional harmonica improvisations of Chris Turner, which beautifully illuminate the words of esteemed poets such as Linda Pastan, Wendell Berry, Galway Kinnell, and Federico García Lorca, among others.
Beyond the Notes is supported in part by grants from the Concord Local Cultural Council and Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council - local agencies that are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
