Beyond the Music: Venues and Tech Readiness

Held at the Bond St Event Centre (main stage area) from 3 to 8 p.m. we will enjoy at time of networking with refreshments, two workshops (running concurrently) focused on music venues and technical readiness followed by the Local Jam Session for musicians.

The “Beyond the Music: Venues and Tech Readiness” event is an important initiative to build on the collective talent and creativity within our region. Invest Durham is committed to building a stronger, more vibrant music ecosystem that not only entertains but also drives economic and cultural growth in Durham Region. This opportunity to connect and learn was created through the Canadian Musicians Cooperative, Bond St Event Centre, Invest Durham and the Local Jam Session partnership.

Durham Region music stakeholders showcase the diversity and richness of our community and by coming together, we can ensure Durham’s music scene thrives, elevating local talent and enriches our community for years to come. This event supports our music industry by providing an opportunity to connect and equip you with the knowledge you need about how to create or manage a music venue and be prepared technically for a show.

Light refreshments will be served with additional food and drinks available for purchase.

The Local Artist Jam is an open stage for musicians of all ages, the best bands and soloists our region has to offer, the talent is truly off the charts, all music genres welcome! Experience incredible original music, unique covers, house drums and sound tech on site, the BEST live music happens Thursdays at Bond St. Event Centre!

This is a Bond St Event Centre LOCAL ARTIST JAM and what a show it's going to be! This is the same stage that Sloan, Crown Lands, Protest the Hero & Mercules have played on!

Bring your instruments and make sure you request a jam slot with Stoke the Fire on Instagram. Drums (bring breakables), mics and stands provided.

The Local Artist Jam will run 6 to 8 p.m., space is limited due to time constraints. If you want to play as a band or perform solo, please reach out asap!
