Mental Health Screenings and Resource Fair

Join us for Beyond the Break, a community-focused event dedicated to prioritizing mental health in a welcoming and supportive environment. The event offers free mental health screenings, access to local providers, and a variety of interactive workshops covering topics like therapy basics, mindfulness, trauma support, creative expression, and stress relief.
Our goal is to reduce stigma, encourage early support, and provide tools for everyday mental wellness. Through hands-on activities, reflective practices, and engaging conversations, participants can connect, learn, and grow alongside neighbors, families, and local organizations. Beyond the Break highlights the power of community, making mental health care approachable, collaborative, and rooted in connection.
All mental health screenings, resources, and workshops are pay-what-you-can. Donations are strongly encouraged. 15% of proceeds will be donated to the Third Street Alliance for Women and Children.

Info: Screenings run 10:15 AMโ2:30 PM with a break from 12:30โ1 PM. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your slot, or stay for the whole event.

Workshop 1: Why You're Here: Exploring Therapy
Info: This workshop introduces the basics of therapy (Therapy 101), practical mindfulness techniques, and an overview of EMDR skills. Learn how these tools can support mental health, enhance self-awareness, and empower your personal growthโ whether youโre starting therapy or curious about new ways to manage stress and emotions.

Workshop 3/4: Grateful Moments: Collage & Mixed Media Workshop
Info: Tap into your creativity with collage and mixed media to decorate your own โGrateful Bowl.โ Using color, words, and personal expression, youโll create a meaningful space to collect moments of gratitude. Write down experiences, place them in your bowl, and revisit them whenever you need a boostโ turning small acts of reflection into a powerful tool for positivity and mindfulness.
