About this workshop: Relocating to a new country is more than just packing boxes, it affects your identity, relationships, and how you see yourself. Psychologists rank it among life’s most stressful events, right alongside divorce and job loss. While the excitement of opportunity is real, many expats also face isolation, uncertainty, and the unsettling question, “Who am I here?” These hidden challenges deserve more than quick tips and often require intentional strategies to move from survival into growth.
This workshop is led by Nusha Nouhi (PhD), a US-trained clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through major life changes. Having worked with international communities across the US and Europe, she brings both expertise and perspective on the psychological realities of transition. Her approach combines evidence-based techniques with practical insights drawn from personal expat experiences.
You will gain a deeper understanding of how relocation impacts mental health and discover tools to strengthen resilience, create belonging, and restore balance in daily life. Through real-world examples and reflective discussion, this workshop hosted by Marina Health will leave you with strategies you can apply immediately—whether you’ve just arrived or have been here for years. More than adjustment, this is about transformation: thriving, not just surviving, abroad.
