We officially have a new date for our community event, "Beyond Spring Cleaning: Confronting the Strange Magic of Personal Possessions"!Please join us on Tuesday, May 21, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at The Friday Conference Center to hear Julia Ridley Smith share excerpts from her book, The Sum of Trifles, and discuss how material culture shapes our identities. She’ll talk about the challenges of tackling a house clean-out when grief makes it difficult to give up cherished objects. She approaches this topic with humor, reminding us that there’s also room for finding joy, discovery, and human connection.
