Are you a parent, caregiver, or whānau of a disabled loved one? Learn more about what supports are available locally and how to access them.Parent to Parent is inviting you to the Beyond School Workshop! Aimed for whānau who care for a disabled child 14 year and older. This workshop is about preparing and planning for life after school, a time of uncertainty, change, and exciting possibilities.
Part 1: We’ll be exploring a practical overview of legal rights, funding, and key systems. Hoping to provide a clearer overall picture and a strong foundation to prepare your family through the transition out of the school environment. Sue Gibson will be facilitating this workshop.
Part 2: 2-4 weeks later we will have a chance to catch-up and check in, a time to chat with other parents and support each other in planning, reflecting, and building future visions.
Lunch will be provided. This event is free, thanks to support from Spectrum Foundation.
