Tired of the endless scroll and superficial connections?
Craving a space where you can just be yourself and talk about the stuff that actually matters with other young Muslims in Durham?
Welcome to Beyond Belief.
We're creating a "third space" - somewhere between the mosque and the rest of the world - for young Muslims (ages 23-35)in the Durham Region to connect, converse, and build genuine community. We're launching at The Souk, a beautiful Muslim-owned cafe in downtown Whitby that's opening its doors just for us.
Our Vibe: Real Talk, Mutual Respect
This is a mixed social event, open to both men and women, and co-hosted to ensure a balanced and comfortable environment. Our goal is to foster a non-judgmental space built on curiosity and respect. This isn't a formal lecture or a matchmaking event - it's an opportunity to share diverse perspectives and make real friends.

The Format:
- 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM: Facilitated Group Conversation on a new topic each week.
- 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM: Open Social Time. Grab a coffee, continue the conversation, meet new people & make friends!
