But for many, they simply go from one type of incarceration into another: from being locked-up to being locked out. This fun and highly interactive simulation will help you to better understand the challenges that over 650,000 people face every year and learn what you can do to have a positive impact in helping these individuals successfully reintegrate back into the community.
This workshop is organized by PURE 1, a national reentry service provider committed to building communities, changing narratives, and transforming lives.

Unlocking Opportunity: How Housing, Employment, and Education Intersect

Guided by the lived experiences of directly impacted leaders and the collaborative power of LARRP’s Committees—including Employment and Education, panelists will highlight innovative strategies and cross-sector partnerships that are transforming these challenges into opportunities. From Fair Chance hiring and housing policies to second-chance education programs and employer incentives, we’ll discuss what’s working, what needs to change, and how we can collectively invest in long-term success. Whether you're a workforce developer, policymaker, or reentry champion this is your chance to be a part of the solution.
