ABC Drama is pleased to announce its next production: Beyond a Joke is a hilarious farce. Based in the modern day and set in Andrew and Jane's pleasant but accident-prone country house.
Six people have already died there in unfortunate and embarrassing accidents. When daughter Sally's young man Geoff arrives for the weekend unaware of the house's reputation, he mistakenly deduces from conversational confusion that the deaths were due to sinister circumstances.
Director John Wylde considers this one of the most ambitious productions that ABC Drama have put together. A technically challenging split-set design means that for the first time, the society will be 'playing away from home'; Beyond a Joke will be staged in Denbighs Twm 'or Nant theatre from the 3rd to 5th April.
The cast and crew understand there will inevitably be disappointment about the production not taking place in Caerwys Town Hall. Still, they hope the local community of Caerwys understand the need for this venue change and continue to show their support.
Following Beyond a Joke the next production will be back in the Town Hall later this year.
Tickets on sale shortly, early booking for Beyond a Joke is recommended since ABC's productions usually sell-out.
