Join Abby & Alan, Beyond a Dream, for a beginner friendly journey into Kirtan.Kirtan (Sanskrit: कीर्तन) translates as reciting. It is the shared recitation, or call & response, of spiritual ideals and holy names found in the Veda and other sacred writings. Kirtan originates from India where it is an important spiritual practice among many groups. Kirtan is not a formal practice and in modern times can include hymns from many traditions, as well as songs that espouse the qualities of peace, goodness, service, love, and unity.
These sessions are appropriate for all ages and all levels of experience including beginners.

Sunday December 29th 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
~ Kirtan is offered by donation. Suggested minimum donation is $10 per student, per class.
~ Kirtan is held in the Devi Sanctuary

~ Each student attending needs their own registration
~ Please park on the semi-circle in front of the Ashram. Additional parking is available behind the Ashram and in the side lot by the gardens.
~ Entry to the Ashram is through the front doors only

* Please remove your shoes and leave them in the hallway
* Please have your shoulders covered when not practicing yoga
* Please speak softly and respectfully
* No food or drink should be brought into alter rooms
* Please leave water bottles in the hallway
* Please do not touch the stained glass in the Saraswati Mandir
