UK Blues Award winner, Bex Marshall, and her band are on a two month tour of the United States. We can't believe that Underberg House Concerts will be one of her stops. But it is. She will be here November 16.Bex cites Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin and Tina Turner as her musical influences. We hear all of these influences clearly in her music (which we have been playing constantly). Folk and Roots Magazine describes her as "a younger version of Bonnie Raitt. Seldom do we hear such blues inflicted rawness . . . done with such authenticity and assurance."
We are intrigued with one critic's opinion that Bex Marshall is a heart wrenching singer, a dazzling guitarist, and a charismatic stage presence. Whatever she does, you are in safe hands . . . but heh, not too safe."
