About this Event
The Legacy Competition provides a platform for Black early-stage and existing tech companies to engage with industry leaders, fellow tech entrepreneurs, and capital.
Black Founders Day is a premier event celebrating the legacy, innovation, and future of Black entrepreneurship. The Legacy 1865 Pitch Competition is at the heart of this event, offering a platform for visionary Black entrepreneurs to present their business ideas and compete for a variety of prizes, including funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities with industry leaders and investors.
This year’s theme, "The Legacy 1865," pays homage to the resilience and contributions of Black entrepreneurs throughout history, starting from the post-Civil War era to today. Participants will not only have the chance to pitch their business concepts but also to share how their ventures are paving the way for future generations.
The event will culminate with the Divine 9 Greek After Party, a celebration of Black excellence, culture, and community. Hosted by members of the Divine 9 Greek-lettered organizations, this after party will be a vibrant gathering for networking, entertainment, and honoring the diverse achievements of Black founders. Expect lively music, energizing conversations, and a strong sense of unity and celebration as we uplift and support Black entrepreneurs in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Whether you’re a business owner, investor, or ally, Black Founders Day is the perfect place to connect, celebrate, and contribute to the ongoing legacy of Black entrepreneurship. Join us for an unforgettable evening of inspiration, empowerment, and community building!
