Five Fife AC runners are taking on the Tokyo Marathon 2026! 🎌Each of us has committed to raising vital funds for charity, and to help meet our pledges we’re hosting the Beveridge Park 5K Handicap Race on Sunday 5 October 2025.
We’re each running in support of different charities:
Action Against Child Exploitation (ACE)
Chance for Children
Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning
Muscular Dystrophy UK
Peace Winds Japan
✨ This isn’t your usual 5K… it’s a handicap race, which means ANYONE can win!
Here’s how it works:
• Runners with slower parkrun times (from the last 12 months) get a head start
• Others are set off in order, with the quickest runners chasing from the back
• The winner is the first person across the finish line – not the fastest overall time!
That means whether you’re fast, steady, or somewhere in between, you’ve got a real shot at crossing the line first 🏁

This is a Scottish Athletics–approved race on an AUKCM-certified course, so your results will be officially recorded and submitted.
