Join us for the opportunity to develop your understanding of anaesthetic problems when dealing with the mare and foal, from prepartum to sick neonates, supporting horses during and after colic surgery, and using pain assessment tools with your patients. Run in partnership with the AVA, the day will be delivered by four experts, who collectively have over 50 years experience in anaesthesia and analgesia. They will lead lectures and small group discussions on topics including pain recognition and management, colic management, foal anaesthesia, mortality risk factors, reducing risks, recovery techniques, and arterial blood gas results. During the course we are also excited to be able to share the findings from CEPEF4. The course has been designed for hospital interns, residents in equine anaesthesia, medicine, or surgery as well as general practitioners that regularly carry out equine anaesthesia.
