We invite you to join us for an evening of art and conversation exploring Israeli art at the intersection of local and global influences. As a closing event for the exhibition "Poems as Invitations," curator Lonnie Monka will open with brief reflections on the ideas and processes behind the project, followed by a conversation between curator and scholar Emily Bilski and exhibiting artists Sara Benninga and Meydad Eliyahu.
Together, they will discuss what it means to make art in Israel today while engaging with international influences, and the opportunities and constraints of sharing work beyond national borders — between here and elsewhere.
Guests are welcome to arrive early to view the exhibition and enjoy light refreshments.
