• An instructor at the beginning of the session who explains the rules, how to record scores and get the most from your day

This ‘Better with Friends’ Barefoot Bowls afternoon is aimed at 35-55 year men and women who are looking to have FUN, meet new people and make genuine connections and friendships. Whether you find you have; outgrown old friendships, are new to Brisbane, are too introverted to meet new people unassisted, have no idea where to meet new friends, feel isolated after becoming a parent, or you just want to add some new friends to your social circle, this afternoon will be perfect for you.

Ideally this event works best if you attend solo, as this will ensure you are open and fully present to the possibility of all the new friendships that are presented to you. However if you would like to attend with a friend, that is no problem, but we will most likely pop you on different teams (unless otherwise requested).

Your host will be there to welcome you and settle your nerves as you are placed on your allocated Team. The selection of people you bowl with, will have been handpicked for you, based on your interests, hobbies and passions. During the bowls session there will be time to talk, mingle with your teammates and get to know your new buddies, at a casual, relaxed pace.

After the first round of bowls, there will be a team swap, so that you have the opportunity to mix with some of the other guests and broaden your connections.

There will be delicious platters full of hot canapés and nibblies provided, for you to share with your new friends.

NB: Drinks and any additional food can be purchased throughout the event, at your own cost.

The event will end around 3pm, however as we are in New Farm, there are plenty of bars, cafes and clubs around, should you want to kick on with your newfound besties.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:
1. Cancellations can be fully credited or refunded 7 days out from the event
NB: Please note as lawn bowls is an outside event and we cannot control the weather, the event may be hindered by inclement weather. If sprinkling or lightly raining, in most cases the event will still proceed. If raining heavily at the time of the event, the event will be postponed to an alternative time or date within the next 6 months. If you ARE ABLE to make the new date, your ticket will simply be transferred to the new date. If you are UNABLE to make the alternate date, you will have the option to have your ticket amount kept as a credit for use at a future 'Better with Friends ' event OR to obtain a refund.
LIABILITY:.
In consideration of being permitted by RAWSPACE by Ness to participate in this event, 'Better With Friends' Barefoot Bowls afternoon, I hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damages or personal injury, death, or property damage which I may have or which may hereafter accrue as a result of my participation in said activity. This release is intended to discharge, in advance, RAWSPACE by Ness & 'Better With Friends' Event, its officers, directors, members and managers (“RAWSPACE by Ness”), and all other members of its staff whether contracted or employed, from and against any and all liability arising out of or connected to in any way with any participation in said activity.
By purchasing this ticket I as the individual/guest, agree that prior to, during and after the function, I am personally liable for any loss or damage to the premises, its fittings and/or equipment or injury to any staff member, caused by me as the individual/ guest and absolve RAWSPACE by NESS, or their servants or agents of all and any liability. I, as the individual/guest, am aware that I am liable for any loss of or damage to my belongings left on the premises prior to, during or after the function.
RAWSPACE by Ness / 'Better with Friends' Barefoot Bowls afternoon and Merthyr Bowls Club take every care to try to ensure that guests allergies are taken into account, however please note due to the share nature of the food, there is a small risk of cross contamination. This being the case, by proceeding to book, you are aware that you as the Guest are responsible for your own allergy and allergy management. Please check with staff if you are unsure of a dish.
RAWSPACE by Ness and the 'Better with Friends' Barefoot Bowls afternoon is not responsible for guests' behaviour outside of the events, however should you feel uncomfortable or that someone in attendance is acting disrespectfully or irresponsibly during an event, please let the Host know so that they can manage the situation.
PHOTOGRAPHY + FILMING:
RAWSPACE by Ness representatives will be taking photos and videos throughout the event to capture the moment. By attending this event, you agree to being photographed or filmed which may be used for social media and marketing purposes. If you do not want to be directly photographed, please let the host know at the beginning of the event.
