It's time to celebrate the new album from The Soundwriters, Better Than Before! Original music, great venue, local talent, and more!The Kamloops-based Indie pop duo, The Soundwriters, have just released their highly anticipated album, Better Than Before. The 13 original songs showcase their musical chemistry through charming songwriting, skilled vocals, and polished instrumentals. Sam and Emma (aka The Sound and The Writer) have been collaborating in this band for 3 years, with an EP and some singles already out, though it really all started for them as little jam sessions on Friday nights. What began as a hobby turned into a passion project that has helped turn them into better people, musicians, and partners. I suppose you could say it's made them "Better Than Before" (see what I did there?). Now, on Friday, October 24th, 2025, the duo will perform every song from their new album, plus an array of other material!
As if the night couldn't get any more magical, singer/ songwriter Kris Ruston will be there to open up the night. Ruston is a local musician/producer/ composer with a gorgeous sound, striking lyrics, and a fresh album of his own out this fall! Next up on stage will be the up-and-coming Kamloops folk/rock trio, Bushmen. This trio is sure to put a smile on your face and get you moving, with their Canaidana sound and playful lyrics. Can’t think of a better lineup for the Better Than Before album release party!
