About this Event
The Better Taxes Funder Learning Cohort is a pioneering new initiative led by Better Taxes for a Better America and supported by the State Revenue Alliance for funders to learn about the movement for fairer tax policies across the United States and the critical role of philanthropy in powering these efforts. The goal of the learning cohort is to strengthen the movement for tax justice by educating funders and connecting them directly to state-based partners doing the work of movement building around tax justice issues, with the ultimate vision of expanding the network of new funders supporting and engaging with partners doing critical tax equity work in the states.
As part of this learning series, the cohort will be engaging in a site visit hosted by the Arizona Center for Empowerment, the Arizona Center for Economic Progress, and the Arizona Children’s Action Alliance. This day-long visit will include an overview of tax justice and revenue work in Arizona and discussions with legislative champions and community leaders establishing the year round infrastructure needed to advocate for and support Arizonan’s economic wellbeing.
