About this Event
Morris County Historical Society and Morris County Heritage Commission are pleased to present a Revolutionary Lecture Series to celebrate the rich and vast history that makes Morris County so special. Join us for a series of 12 lectures that will cover topics from our local role in the American Revolution to the early engineering marvels that forever changed the area and local people that made national history.
In 1780 Morristown, two young people from vastly different backgrounds met. Their romance is now a key note in a major musical, but each changed the United States in their own particular way. For the first lecture in our series, join Pat Sanftner, State America 250 Chair for the NJ Society Daughters of the American Revolution, to learn the true story of Alexander Hamilton, Elizabeth Schuyler, and Morristown and how their unlikely romance changed America. FREE. Pre-registration required. Zoom option available.
