Hello and welcome to betrayal at Crawley V.
This is a matched play event for Warhammer: the Horus heresy.
This is not going to be a tournament, but simultaneously, it’s not as detailed as a narrative day. Essentially, it’s a great way to get three games in against (hopefully) cool opponents.
Games will used 2500 pts armies in missions taken from the siege of cthonia campaign book.
The following timetable will be in place:
09:30-10:00 sign in and briefing
10:00-12:00 game 1: heart of battle on hammer and anvil deployment.
12:00-12:45 lunch
12:45-14:45 game 2: take and hold with dawn of war deployment.
15:00-17:00 game 3: sudden strike with search and destroy deployment.
17:00-17:30 awards and go home.
This will be a traitors vs loyalist event with 8 places on each side for a total of 16 places. In order to promote variety, armies and legions will be restricted to two each. So please send me a message before paying to avoid any confusion.
Tickets for this event cost £25 and should be paid via PayPal to [email protected].
Prizes will be awarded for best loyalist, best traitor and favourite army.
All armies should be painted to at least a battle ready standard. I.E three colours with a wash or contrast paint. However soft scores will be awarded for the following factors:
Battle ready: 3 pts
Parade ready: 3 pts
Based: 2 pts
Written army list: 1 pt
Squad markings: 1 pt
Games will be scored as follows:
Major win (winning by 3 vps or more): 10 pts
Minor win (winning by 1 or 2 vps): 6 pts
Draw (both players have scored equal vps): 5 pts
Minor loss (losing by 1 or 2 vps): 4 pts
Major loss (losing by 3 or more vps): 1 pt
At the end of the event, the highest scoring player from each side will receive a prize.
If you are interested in joining in, please drop me a message. I hope to see you there.
