About this Event

Consider this your 2026 reset and your little Galentine’s warm-up — a rooftop night that feels fresh, fun, and very “I’m saying yes to more community in 2026.”

The Bethesda Girlies are hosting Shimmer Soirée, a downtown Bethesda rooftop social with girl dinner vibes, bouquet-making and henna, a little sparkle if you want it, and plenty of time to actually meet people. Come with friends, come solo, come however you are – we love meeting new people!

A women-owned collab, start to finish

One of my favorite parts of this night is that it’s powered by women-owned local businesses. Each partner is bringing a piece of the experience to life in a way that feels intentional for our community.

💐 Bouquet making with – Included in your ticket, you’ll leave with a beautiful handcrafted bouquet!
🍴Girl Dinner & Drinks — Included in your ticket, we’re teaming up with+ to bring a “grazing meets cozy” spread: charcuterie you can snack on all night, plus a soup bar and mini bites for that warm, comforting vibe. It’s girl dinner… just on a rooftop.
✨ Henna by — small designs available for a small charge.
🎟️ Raffle Prizes – We will have different chances to get raffle tickets throughout the night.

Our giveback partner: I Support the Girls

We’re proud to be partnering with , a nonprofit that collects and distributes clothes and feminine hygiene products to people experiencing homelessness and hardship. We are asking each of the attendees (if you’re able) to bring individually sealed feminine hygiene products (pads, tampons, liners, wipes, etc.), lightly used bras, and/or new underwear to donate. and you’ll receive raffle tickets as a thank-you. We’ll be collecting items at check-in and delivering them directly through the partnership.

Dress code

Galentine’s energy is the vibe — shimmer is encouraged, never required. Throw on the cute shoes, wear the bold lip, do the lashes, pull out that dress you “never have a reason to wear”… or come in your usual and keep it simple. Just show up as you. 💛✨
