About this Event
Come spend Valentine's Day at Coda for a night of acoustic artists!
Featuring:
BETHANY JOY
Bethany Joy is a singer-songwriter from Cleveland whose music blends intimate storytelling with lush, groove-driven arrangements. Drawing from influences like Julia Jacklin and Lianne La Havas, she creates a sound that moves fluidly between raw emotional indie rock and smooth, expressive jazz. Her debut EP All We Really Want (2021) introduced her reflective songwriting, while her first full-length album PLANET (2022) expanded her sonic world with deeper textures and bolder arrangements. Now, her new record Slow Burn (2025) marks her most expressive and immersive work yet — exploring themes of childhood, desire, existential dread and slow transformation. Her music is honest, textured, and deeply emotive, offering listeners a warm, immersive space to feel and reflect.

GRACE BLACKFORD
Pulling from a wide range of influences including neo-soul, vocal jazz, pop, and indie rock, singer/songwriter Grace Blackford crafts emotive, thoughtful R&B-forward tracks that affirm and arrest listeners in equal measure. No matter the stylistic avenue she explores, from the lush electronic production of her debut album Inside My Head to the earthy, stripped-down sounds of her EP How Does Anybody Ever Move On, Blackford’s introspective spirit and soulful voice are always at the fore, guiding each song through highly personal explorations of nostalgia, grief, and the complex, multifaceted nature of love.
