For over 25 years, the IHC has been bringing distinguished speakers to Boise. In partnership with The Cabin, we will be hosting best-selling author Angeline Boulley on Thursday, February 27th, 2025 at 7:30 PM at The Egyptian Theatre.Angeline Boulley, an enrolled member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, is a storyteller who writes about her Ojibwe community in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She is a former Director of the Office of Indian Education at the U.S. Department of Education. Her debut novel, Firekeeper’s Daughter, was an instant #1 NYT Bestseller and is being adapted for television on Netflix by Higher Ground, Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company. The winner of many awards, the book was listed as one of the best 100 young adult books of all time by Time magazine.
