ITINERARY FEBRUARY 27-MARCH 5, 2024Day 1 Tuesday
Arrive Hanoi, personal airport meet and greet, check into hotel, afternoon walk, group dinner and meeting
Day 2
After breakfast we start our craft village photography sessions. These will provide you the perfect opportunity to shoot portraits creatively, environmentally-staged and guided by our team from Vietnam. First up is the incense village, then lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to the fish trap village. Take your time and get the compositions you have only dreamed of. The evening will be spent exploring the market streets of Hanoi and we’ll take a visit to the famous Beer Street for dinner
Day 3
Again we spend the day with our photography guides from Vietnam, and this morning we’re up early to visit the Rice Paper Making Village, followed by breakfast and then a visit to the Soy Sauce Village. It’s incredible in Vietnam how certain villages are dedicated to the production of just one item. Here we can photograph to our heart’s content. Afterwards we will head back to Hanoi for a short rest before our fixer collects us for a 2.5 hour guided photo walk through the streets of Hanoi. Here he will assist in pointing out all the amazing spots
Day 4
This morning, we are picked up for our transfer to Ha Long Bay. Today you will cruise the bay featuring thousands of limestone karsts. This is an all inclusive cruise (not drinks). There are fantastic opportunities to shoot from the ship’s deck at golden hour, sunset and sunrise
Day 5
Around midday we will leave the ship and catch our shuttle back to Hanoi, and tonight we’ll take an overnight sleeper train to Danang
Day 6
Arriving in Danang around midday we’ll take a taxi to our hotel in Hoi An. This afternoon we’ll wander the pedestrian streets of this picture-perfect town. There’s just so much to photograph here
Day 7
This morning we visit some coffee houses and a local organic vegetable farm, Tre Que. We’ll try the Bahn Mi Phuong sandwich made famous when Anthony Bourdain visited. Then we’ll wander the streets of Hoi An for a chill afternoon and explore the yellow wall backdrops of Nguyen Thai Hoc Street waiting for subjects to come into our frame
Day 8 Tuesday
Today we depart to Danang for connecting flights to Hanoi and home
