Think you have the best CHILI recipe in town?
This is your chance to see what our culinary judges think about it!
We're making this chili event EASY and tasty!
Bring your chili in a crock pot (minimum 6 quarts) and our judges will be holding a MASSIVE BLIND tasting competition. That means our judges will have no idea who's chili they are tasting. You receive a # and they taste your chili.
Will your chili win?
If you don't enter the contest, you can't sample your recipe.
Save your spot and get your recipe together. The competition is just around the corner.
(The public may sample your recipe but River Days Florida is not responsible or liable for any health issues or discomfort a taster experiences. Waivers will be signed by each participant to release River Days from harm of food served.)
Must be registered before March 2nd, 2025
Check in begins at 1:00pm. All entries must be CHECKED IN no later than 1:45pm.
JUDGING BEGINS AT 2PM
You will be given a # upon check in and this number will go on your entry cup and lined up for our judges to taste.
The judges are tasting on the following factors:
- Color of chili
- Consistency of chili (it should not be running like soup)
- Flavorful smell
- Mouth feel
They will give a score of 1-5 for each factor
The highest score wins!
If there is a tie-breaker our 2 LOCAL CELEBRITY JUDGES will decide the winning entry
1st Place = Blue Ribbon and $100
2nd Place = Red Ribbon and $50
