"What is my story? Will you remember me?"
In an ancient land full of legendary heroes and the monsters they fight, how do the regular people live? Beowulf the Musical is a musical retelling of two medieval myths intertwined; on one side the famous hero as strong as thirty men and on the other a princess who must live her life in the service of her people against her own heart. As inexorable fate ebbs and flows, what paths will our characters carve for themselves?
A tragedy in two acts, written and composed by medievalist Umay Acar-Sumer.
Doors open: 6pm
Show starts: 7pm
Please note that seating is not reserved. There will be a 20 minute interval between the two acts.
Content Warning: themes of racism, classism, violence and death.

"I can tell it’s going to be great because ‘Remember Me’ gives me the same chills as when I first listened to Sarah Brightman in Phantom of the Opera."
- Nicole Mendes from The Other Side Reviews
"Umay has done a brilliant job in composing this beautiful experience. I say experience because it is an experience. I don’t know many musicians that are able to tell a story as intricately laid out as Umay has..."
- Sinusoidal Music
"[Umay is] not just a talented songwriter but a creative visionary who draws on other art to offer something entirely new."
- Alex Stone from Plastic Magazine
