So it is sadly time for our final event of the year before we go on a holiday break, this year has been absolutly amazing and we are super thankfull to each and everyone who have joined us every week for all the dancing! 😃
FIKA:Let's do a potluck fika (knytfika) to celebrate the coming holidays. Feel free to bring something from the store or if you want to show off your baking skills. Let's try to prioritize things that don't need a plate or utensils to be eaten and can just be picked up by hand. Fika officially opens after the classes and we'll have our smörgåsbord at the far end of the hall.
Just like allways, will we bring some amazing songs for the social! And this time it would be really amazing if people got into some holliday spirits! Bring your Tomteluvor 🤶🎅 or whatever you feel like to get into the mood! Lets have an amazing time!

- No nation card required, anyone can join student or not.
The classes start for complete beginners and we will progress the level throughout the semester accordingly.
Schedule:
13:00 - 14:00: Salsa Cubana class by Ricardo and Katerina.
14:00 - 14.15: Break with some Salsa music. You've just learned a new dance, take a break, or try using what you just learned to music!
14:15 - 15:15: Bachata Moderna class by Stefan and Izzy
15:15 - 15:30: Break with Bachata music. You've just learned a new dance, take a break, or try using what you just learned to music!
15:30 - 17:30: Social dancing where we will play a mix of Salsa and Bachata.
Dance descriptions:
Cuban salsa is characterized by its high energy, its circular movements and joyful spirit. It's danced all across the world, and it is particularly popular in Uppsala and Stockholm, with dance events occurring almost daily. Ricardo and Katerina will transform you into a salsa superstar.
Bachata Moderna is the perfect dance for beginners to start with. Sharing with salsa the throne as kings of Latin dances danced at every event worldwide, it's dramatic, mellow and musical and the perfect compliment and contrast to the more up-beat salsa. Bachata is easy to learn but hard to master and Stefan and Izzy will make it their personal mission that you are able to dance a full bachata song with just ONE lesson under your wing!
