B. Chakoian Jones explores sonic space with his string quartet, The Great Space. Shifting between rich melodic development and significan musical silence, The Great Space asks the listener to experience the performance space as an element of the music.
Choreogrpaher and danceer Becca Hoback joins The Great Space, exploring the physical space of the performance venue in dance.
Joining The Great Space will be Knoxville's own Stranger May duo of Colleen d'Alelio and Katie Adams. You may know these two from their work in Redd and the Paper Flowers.
This show will be all acoustic and will serve as a fundraiser for some much needed upgrades to the Laurel Theater sound system.
