Alard is currently recording the complete works of Johann Sebastian Bach for harpsichord and organ solo for the harmonia mundi label, a massive project he started in 2017. Volume 3 of this 18-volume collection was the recipient of the prestigious Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkrik (German Record Critics' Award). Volume 6, which includes The Well-Tempered Clavier, was released in March 2022, on the work’s 300th anniversary.
