Reggaeton Historian and Writer Prof. Raul Moris has created a special walk on the humble beginnings of Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known artistically as , Singer, composer producer, actor and wrestler. We will visit iconic locations related to the upbringing of the artist, including his school, work and mural in Vega Baja, the northern part of Puerto Rico. We will talk about the history of the musical genre, speak about the reason why this historical residency of is not just an economic boom for the island nation, we will explain why it’s also a political stance. The history of music in Puerto Rico has been resistance and resilience for hundreds of years and Reggaeton is just a continuation of those struggles.
