Beng celebrate the release of their second full length LP ‘Beng II.’ Continuing from where they left off with their first LP and what they are known for amongst fans across the universe, Beng are proud to announce the release of their second album, Beng II. On this LP, Beng explore further into the territory of their unique blend of groove and improv based rock.
Known for their extended jams that get people nodding, grooving and astral projecting, Beng will be playing the album in its entirety along with a couple of new tunes and some oldies. The new songs continue to use dynamics and intensity as well as using spacious grooves and motifs to contrast with intense walls of noise and chaos, along with a healthy dose of improvisation and a nod to various styles of music . This album may arguably have more structure to its recorded songs than previous releases but live there is much more to be expected.
We are excited to have the following acts joining us:
Liam Watts & The Electric Red Messengers
Liam’s fuzz-soaked guitar pop fuses 60s/70s glam rock with the raw edge of 90s alternative. His 2020 release Thought Sails packed an emotional punch, and his high-energy live show—backed by seasoned Naarm musicians Jacob Todarello and Will Taylor—blends heavy rock with touches of jazz, prog, and folk.
Duncan Thomas
A multi-instrumentalist and improviser, Duncan crafts immersive soundscapes of “dark folk” and “ambient bush.” Drawing from Spanish guitar, Indian raga, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and Gaelic roots, no two performances are alike. Expect a collaborative, meditative journey through sound, stories, and shared space.
Don’t miss this dynamic night of experimental rock and sonic storytelling.
