Benefits and Opportunities for Tree Planting
The Forestry Commission, Environment Agency and Natural England welcome you to a informative day looking at the multitude of benefits that tree planting can offer from farm resilience to income generation. We'll be providing information on how to understand what is possible for your land across Devon and in the Dart catchment and how to access the right support and funding.
During the day there will be chance to hear from our guest speakers who will be sharing their personal experiences on very topical areas including:
- Poductive forestry - Jez Ralph from Evoling Forests
- Agroforestry - Harriet Bill from Riverford Organic
- The Bowden's Pillar biodiversity project - Claire Inglis from Devon Wild Trust
- Priorities for the National Landscapes - Roger English from South Devon National Landscape
There will also be a 'carousel', where there will be on hand support from our partners who will be able to provide tailored support and funding for your tree planting ambitions and projects. These will include:
- Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest
- Westcountry Rivers Trust, Woodland Trust
- Central Dartmoor Landscape Recovery project
