Our world was turned upside down when Troy suffered a torn artery—a rare and life-threatening medical emergency that came without warning. What began as unbearable pain in his side quickly became something far more serious. After X-rays and CT scans, doctors rushed Troy into the ICU, where he spent days fighting through intense pain and uncertainty while medical teams worked to find answers.
Troy was finally able to come home, but his battle is far from over. He is now on strict bed rest for several weeks and must return to the hospital regularly for closely monitored appointments as his injury continues to heal. He lives with constant pain, feels unwell most days, and remains at risk if his condition worsens.
Despite doctors clearly telling him not to work for weeks—possibly even months—Troy has already returned to work too soon. He is pushing himself beyond what his body can handle because he feels the responsibility to provide for his family and keep up with mounting medical bills. This determination, while admirable, puts his health at serious risk.
Because this condition is so rare, doctors are still uncertain about the best path forward, leaving our family facing not only physical and emotional exhaustion, but financial strain as well. We are taking things one day at a time, hoping for healing, stability, and support during this incredibly difficult chapter.
