On June 8th Nathan was riding his motorcycle home from a fun day at the water park with his wife Sarah and their three young daughters - Natalie (6), Lydia (4), and baby Ella (10 weeks) - when he collided with a deer. He was taken by ambulance and then Med flighted to Madison where he had multiple surgeries. Although he was wearing a leather vest his injuries are still severe and include:
Broken right ankle
Right elbow fracture
Torn right tricep
Extensive road rash to his hands and upper body
Nathan is unable to lift any weight for three months and must remain non-weight bearing on his right foot for an extended time. He will be off work for at least six months.
The family is now facing massive medical expenses, including:
Ambulance ride: $15,000
Med flight to Madison: $55,000+
Hospital stay
Doctor visits and surgical costs
Ongoing therapy and recovery needs
