Most of you reading this know Jen well and understand the joy, love, and kindness she brings to everyone around her. For those who may not, Jen is one of the most fun-loving and caring moms, wives, sisters, cousins, aunts, nieces, and friends you could ever meet. Her husband, Robbie, and their two daughters are the center of her world.
A Life-Changing Diagnosis
On New Year’s Eve, Jen went to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain. After undergoing a CT scan and endoscopy, she received the devastating news: malignant tumors covered her entire stomach and the lower third of her esophagus. A week later, pathology results confirmed Stage IV Gastric and Esophageal cancer with Peritoneal Carcinomatosis, meaning the cancer had already spread to her abdominal lining.
The Fight Begins

Continue to undergo 12 rounds of this treatment with the hope of shrinking the tumors. Although surgery to remove her stomach might be considered, two of the top cancer centers we consulted—Memorial Sloan Kettering and Johns Hopkins—expressed doubt due to the surgery’s extreme intensity and the likelihood of cancer returning elsewhere.
