Andrew Heilman is on his third battle with oral cancer. This latest round has been considerably worse than the previous two. After multiple surgeries/procedures/chemo/radiation in 2020/2021, Andrew had 3 yrs of remission. This time he has not been that lucky. After complete lower jaw reconstruction in Oct 2024, the cancer is still not gone and has spread to his chest as well as across his face and neck. He started chemo in Jan of 2025 and we are praying for this treatment to be effective. In the meantime, he has been unable to work, with no timeline for when he will be able to return. Short term disability has run out and his family is exploring all possible options for long term disability and assistance. The medical bills are staggering as well as additional costs of seeking the necessary treatment at the Mayo in Rochester.
Andrew and Jody have been married 15 yrs and live in Harris, MN with their two children, ages 12 & 6.
