Music education program Elevate Oakland joins Follow the Music for benefit concert at the Guild Theatre February 6, hosted by Ronnie Lott, headlined by Sheila E. and supported by emerging artist collective Oakland Rising.Elevate Oakland, the non-profit co-founded by Bay Area legend Sheila E., has joined the Super Bowl party hosted by 49er legend and NFL Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott on February 6th at the Guild Theatre in Menlo Park. Oakland music legend Sheila E is headlining the show, supported by the emerging artist collective Oakland Rising.
"Two years ago Ronnie Lott, Sheila E., and her non-profit Elevate Oakland helped us launch Follow the Music at the Guild Theatre, so this is a full circle moment," said Phil Green, Executive Director of Follow the Music.
"We're excited to be back with Ronnie at the Guild Theatre," said Oakland musical legend Sheila E. "The Bay Area has an unrivaled cultural legacy, and it's critical that we support the generation carrying that legacy forward."
Speaking about the emerging artists from Oakland Rising who will be taking the stage at the Guild, Ronnie Lott said "these rookies will rock you! Guaranteed!!!"
