Who Is Johnny Woods?
John Hill, better known as Johnny Woods, is a country music singer-songwriter from Yukon, Oklahoma. He’s built a loyal following across the country, with some of his deepest roots right here in Kansas and throughout the Midwest. When he’s not performing or traveling to Nashville to write, Johnny works in the oil and gas industry—often right here on rigs in Kansas.
Johnny has played at the Kansas State Fair, numerous regional festivals (including Hutchinson and Salina), and many beloved venues in Wichita such as The Wave, Barleycorn’s, TempleLive, and The James & Rye.
In late 2020, Johnny released his debut single, “Hurricane,” which climbed to #43 on the Texas Country Music Charts. His first EP, “Hard to Find,” dropped in February 2021, followed by the release of “One Helluva Summer,” which became the highest-charting debut on the T3R charts.
Since then, he has supported artists like Corey Kent, Randall King, Muscadine Bloodline, Pat Green, Adam Hood, Cody Hibbard, and many more. He continues to collaborate with top-tier songwriters and is currently working on a new project set to release soon.
