(BBF) was established in the memory of renowned bass player Brett Rothfeld. Brett played a range of music and played in bands such as Napalm, Fuzzbubble, The Plums, Brown Sabbath and Cousin Junebug. He worked with artists such as Mike Clink, Susannah Hoffs, Jimmy Page, and Mike DiNuzio. The mission of BBF is to provide resources to those who desire to learn the bass but may not have the resources or support. Through a nomination process, once a year the Fund awards individuals with scholarships which include a year's worth of bass lessons, a bass guitar and mentorship with professional musicians.
MAJOR TOMBOYS
Ziggy Stardust fell to Earth once upon a time. It is the mission of Major Tomboys to pay tribute to his god-given ass. Major Tomboys is Portland’s all-femme David Bowie tribute band founded by Renée Muzquiz (lead singer/guitar) and Lauren Hatch (former keyboard) in the summer of 2018. There was a flash of lightning, an explosion of glitter, and suddenly a band was formed (the real story is a lot less exciting and involves the magic of Craigslist, but don't tell anyone).

AMANDA RICHARDS & THE GOOD LONG WHILES
Amanda Richards & The Good Long Whiles are a three part harmony gothic-americana band based out of Portland, Oregon featuring Amanda Richards on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Stephen Freeman Moore on lap steel and electric banjo, Christine McAllister on the bass and Don Lawry on drums. The group performs original music along with traditional folk and bluegrass in a throwback western style reinvisioned through the lens of somber indie rock with syrupy reverb and delay.

BEES IN A BOTTLE
Bees in a Bottle is the Portland, OR Indie duo of Christine & Chad McAllister. Rooted in a dark, singer/songwriter tradition, the band conjures dreamy, atmospheric worlds, blending Christine’s warm vocals and intimate lyrics with mood-driven electric guitar, drawing the listener into connection with chaos and quiet.
