Ben Salter’s doing his annual lap, he’s a travelling man. Hot on the heels of a European Tour and a having curated exclusive collection of unreleased bits n pieces from the last five years by reclusive and mysterious friend Richard Tapestry, Life’s Rich Tapestry, Salter will be doing a month long residency at Melbourne’s Merri Creek Tavern and jetting off around Oz every weekend in between, finishing up with an Easter Sunday spectacular at Hobart’s Altar Bar, before he bunkers down again at MONA in Tasmania for his sixth stint as an artist in residence there.
He’ll be accompanied for the Hobart show by some sort of band. Expect the usual weapons-grade banter, a dazzling array of guest performers, and some pretty good songs.
