About this Event
Ben Nevis sees over 150,000 visitors every year making maintenance vital - that's why we need YOU!
Friends of Nevis are teaming up with the John Muir Trust to do one final sweep of Ben Nevis before the winter. Come along and volunteer for what will be a big day out on the hill, helping clear rubbish left over from the summer and working on the path lower down.
This event will require a good level of fitness as we will be collecting litter as high up as the weather allows - if it's not blowing a hoolie and snowing, we will aim to head to the summit! If the weather is less kind, we will be working lower down, on the path and cross drains, which will involve carrying and working with tools all day.
No path work experience is required and we will provide tools, litter pickers, rubbish bags, and protective gloves.
Volunteers MUST bring waterproofs, warm layers, hat & warm gloves, sturdy walking boots, and food and drink for a full day out on the hill.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note, in the event of terrible weather that means we cannot work lower down the mountain, this event may be cancelled. We will inform you as soon as possible if that is the case.
