Run the Ben Nevis Horseshoe , summiting Ben Nevis and traversing the Carn Mor Dearg arete (CMD) guided by Girls on HillsThis guided skyrun is a classic horseshoe and round of the UK's highest mountain, Ben Nevis and its neighbour Carn Mor Dearg. These two Munros of over 4000ft are joined by the spectacular Carn Mor Dearg (CMD) arete, an exposed grade 1 scramble overlooking the dramatic North Face of Ben Nevis.
Our 16km/1600m route has long been a mountaineering classic but in recent years, has gained worldwide popularity with skyrunners on account of the Salomon Ben Nevis Skyrace, which takes-in all the high-level sections of this circuit.
Despite being the official race recce provider for Skyline Scotland*, this guided skyrun from Girls on Hills is not associated with the skyrace and is therefore not a race recce per se. Instead our group of runners will enjoy a sociable and relaxed journey around this scenic route, with plenty of walking, plus stopping for photos and lunch along the way (weather permitting!)
There are no prerequisites but you should have some experience of hillwalking/fell running and be capable of comfortably running 10km on trail to get the most out of this guided skyrunning experience.

* Skyline Scotland will not take place during 2024 and will return at a new location for 2025. Feel free to ask your Girls on Hills guide about the race and wider event from Skyline Scotland.
