BEN MAUGER’S VINTAGE JAZZ BAND – Sunday April 28th 2:00-4:30pm
Come enjoy an afternoon of Hot Jazz and dancing! We expect the atmosphere to be remarkably tuneful as we welcome back “Ben Mauger’s Vintage Jazz Band” from Pennsylvania for an encore performance. There’s a fine dance floor so grab a partner and shake your booty! BMVJB led by Ben and featuring a cast of accomplished all-stars (and maybe a few surprise guests.)
They perform the early jazz that was made famous in the 1920’s by such greats as King Oliver Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong. To tell the truth when Ben plays you might agree you’re hearing a strong hint of Louis in his style. The band has played for jazz societies throughout the East Coast and they’re back for Washingtonians!
