Ben Fox returns with a quintet of original works: jazz, early European classical & world music influence this May 13 album release of 'The Pavanist.'
Bassist and composer Ben Fox has written an album of original music and will perform it on May 13. He draws inspiration from jazz and world music, as well as his deep study of early European classical music in these compositions. 'The Pavanist' is sort of like a 16th century pavan, and his composition "New Eyes" calls to mind Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter's music.
