All proceeds benefit The Benjamin Thomas Werner (BTW) Foundation. The BTW Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising addiction awareness. Our mission is to make access to recovery more accessible for everyone. This 5K event is to help raise funding to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of people in our community battling addiction. The funding is also used to provide assistance to families, children / teenagers in the community that are directly impacted by addiction, and educational programs to local schools / churches. The foundation wishes to continue to also award scholarships to students affected by addiction throughout Baldwin County in their educational endeavors.
**Note: There will be one easy obstacle that everyone can do at the beggining of Course. We, the Foundation, want this run to be representative of life as an addict (or a family member of the addict) that has to learn to navigate life’s complex challenges. Obstacles are inevitable throughout life and learning how to overcome each can teach us adaptation and perseverance through each situation.
Event Details: This event is open to the public even if you do not sign up for the race you still can come out! We will have The Wacked Out Weiner Food Truck, Silent Auction, and Bounce House for Kids Starting at 9 am!
