πΏπ₯ Beltaine Festival π₯πΏπ May 1st β May 5th, 2025
π Our Haven Nature Sanctuary, French Lick, Indiana
π Early Bird Price: $45 for all five days (includes vending license). Prices increase on February 15th!
Join us at Our Haven Nature Sanctuary for our 25th Beltane, a sacred celebration of renewal, passion, and community! This five-day festival welcomes new and returning attendees to honor the turning of the seasons with dancing, drumming, music, and ritual in a space where all are welcome and no life is harmed. We're proud to be an inclusive haven for all to live harmoniously!
π₯³ What to Expect:
π Maypole Ritual Dance, where we weave our intentions into the ribbons around the Maypole. Please bring your own ribbon, something strong!
π₯ Drumming & Dancing! It may be cold out, but the heartbeat of the earth will keep you warm, as will the Balefire on the Main Field.
πΆ Live Music! Enjoy musicians and storytellers around the main fire. We're still finalizing the line-up! If you have any Bards in your life, we'd love to have them!
π₯ The Balefire is kept burning all night by dedicated fire tenders. We socialize, tell stories, sing, and celebrate around the many fires on the land. But it's the bonfire on the Main Field that is visited over and over again. No Glass can be had around the Main Fire, and please be careful at your campsites as well.
π Vendors are setting up shop! You'll find everything from artisans, healers, and crafters (and vending is included with admission). Vendors can be found on both clothing optional and clothing required sides of the campus, so make sure to take a walk!
π° Who else loves funnel cakes? Satisfy your sweet tooth while you celebrate! We're also very, very close to French Lick, if you'd like to sit down at one of the many restaurants in town.
π About the Sanctuary:
Our Haven is home to sacred shrines dedicated to Brigid, Pan, Venus, The Ancestors, and more, along with the awe-inspiring Triple Oak Tree and the many sacred circles, like the Sacred Sensuality Circle. Itβs a place to connect, heal, and embrace your truest self.
π Clothing Guidelines:
The main field is clothing-required until 10 PM. After that, the entire campus becomes clothing-optional for those who wish to embrace the spirit of freedom.
The 24/7 clothing-optional side of the camp allows nude camping, hiking, and swimming at all times.
We're a nature sanctuary, so things are primative! Count on being cut off from technology while visiting, and make sure you've got cash or have already sent in monies if you'd like to buy firewood instead of scavenging for yourself (paypal.me/HummingBird1280). Please include a name with the payment!
We've also got:
- A playground
- Hiking trails
- Coed hot-water showers
- Plenty of porta-johns
- A sheltered drumming area near the fire
- An electrified pavilion where you can host events, workshops, charge your phone, eat, and more!
FAQs
1οΈβ£ Is this a family-friendly event?
Yes! Children are welcome, and it's recommended (but not required) that they head to bed by 10 PM when the event transitions into nude festivities.
2οΈβ£ Can I camp on-site?
Yes! Your ticket includes camping in both the clothing-required and clothing-optional areas. We can host RVs, but it's recommended to contact us first since we only have so many level, suitable areas for glamping.
3οΈβ£ Is nudity required?
No! While parts of the festival become clothing-optional, wearing clothes is always a personal choice. We're all adults, and this is home to all. Inclusivity, body-positivity, and acceptance are non-negotiables.
4οΈβ£ Are there showers and restrooms?
Yes! We have hot water coed showers and plenty of porta-johns throughout the site. While skinny-dipping is allowed, it is not the recommended way to bathe (especially during a chilly Beltane!).
5οΈβ£ Can I bring my own drum?
Absolutely! Thereβs a designated drum shelter near the fire for drummers to store their instruments. We are in need of both drummers and fire tenders, as these roles are essential to the atmosphere and ritual of Beltane.
6οΈβ£ Are vendors allowed?
Yes! Your $45 ticket includes a license to vend. We also allow bartering, and will offer an auction to raise money for Our Haven's continuance. All vendors and attendees are encouraged to donate a service or item for the auction, such as a healing session or even a case of energy drinks.
7οΈβ£ Can I bring my own food and drink?
Yes! As we finalize more delicious treats and foods for the event, y'all will be the first to know!
8οΈβ£ What rituals will take place?
The highlight is the Maypole Ritual, on Saturday, but there are also various fire circles, drumming, and personal shrine offerings throughout the week. Couples often find Venus' shrine welcoming, and may find an offering to bolster their endeavors for the coming seasons. Workshops and classes as well as performances will be happening at Pagan Time Sharp, so be on the look-out!
9οΈβ£ Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed but may not roam free at any time. This includes small dogs and cats! You will sign a waiver to enter the land, and I'm sure we'd all feel comfortable saying a bite or scratch isn't a risk we'd like to take nude. Be chill and safe, secure your pets!
π How do I get tickets?
Secure your Early Bird ticket for just $45 before February 15th! Prices go up after that, so donβt wait! Just send your $45 to paypal.me/HummingBird1280 or stop by and hand it over in cash! We'll get you on the books so that you need only bring your signature and last name to the gate to enter.
Come celebrate love, life, and the fire of Beltane in the heart of nature! We canβt wait to welcome you Home. π₯πΏ
