Suhana presents two unmissable workshops with International belly dance star, Yallar!BELLYDANCE WORKSHOPS WITH YALLAR

Yallar is an internationally acclaimed teacher and performer currently working in UK. In the age of 18 she started to travel to “Ahlan wa Sahlan” and “Nile group” festivals in Cairo. Yallar is an experienced dancer and teacher who performed on stages of Egypt, Russia, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Italy, Hungary, Israel, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Turkey and UK. Yallar has a degree in "Dance and Rhythm Teacher" and Master’s Degree in Community Dance Leadership. Her thesis “Performance skills development in Belly Dance using contemporary dance training/teaching methods” built a successful base for her own unique teaching method. Currently teaching in Coventry, Leicester and Birmingham as well as ONLINE Some of her awards: Latvian dance festival „DUM TEK”- main organiser 1st place in Danish Open Bellydance Competition 2013 1st place in “Azure 2011” 1st place in “Bellydance festival in Tallin 2010” 1st place in “Vēderdejotāja 2009” 1st place in “Miss Oriental 2007” Egyptian and Turkish Belly dance retreat organiser Belly Spa Retreat with Marta Korzun in Coventry organiser.
* Workshop 1: “I’M YOUR BIGGEST FAN- FAN VEIL TECHNIQUE” (2 hours)
In this workshop you will learn how to use your fan veils effectively, to achieve a seemingly effortless performance, with a variety of tricks and tips to delight and enchant your audience • Special arm exercises • Learn a combo and practice to different music NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, OPEN TO ALL LEVELS (some spare fans available)
* Workshop 2: ‘DON’T BE A WALLFLOWER’- POLISHING PERFORMANCE SKILLS IN BELLYDANCE (2 hours)
Performance skills in belly dance Level : all (Practise, useful tips and games) In this workshop we will work with following performance skills: imagery, musicality and rhythm, space and improvisation. In the class will cover use creative approach to develop your confidence on stage practise some signature exercises for performance skills development find new ways to create and improve your dance. OPEN TO ALL LEVELS

SADLY TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE TO ANOTHER EVENT BUT MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER PERSON BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT, SHOULD YOU NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT FOR ANY REASON.
Schedule:
10.30-doors open – chance to have a coffee or tea (included in ticket price) and a catch up
11.30- 1.30 - WORKSHOP 1
1.30- 2.30– Lunch break- buffet lunch provided and included in ticket price. Chance also to browse the bazaar and catch up with belly-dance friends
2.30- 4.30 - WORKSHOP 2
4.30- 6.15- Tea/coffee and biscuit refreshments (available 4.30- 5.00ish) and chance to browse the full bazaar. Chance to sit, relax and get made up and changed whilst the room is transformed ready for Casbah Café
6.30- Doors re-open for evening event CASBAH CAFE
7.15pm First performance (the time may vary depending on the number of acts)
* AMPLE FREE PARKING at the venue and regular buses from Oxford to Kidlington and bus stop nearby. Also Oxford Parkway train station nearby (maps and directions upon request)
