An introduction to the ancient art of belly dance. Tune into your body temple and activate your sacral chakra, embodying your feminine goddess energy through full-body flow.
In this class, we’ll move through the fundamental techniques of belly dance—beginning with wrist and finger gestures, body isolations, shimmies, and undulations. Leave feeling empowered, activated, and inspired.
Wear yoga clothes with hip scarves, or something “gypsy”-inspired, such as a flowy long skirt from your closet.
We’ll close the class with a soothing sound bath led by Shikari, allowing the vibrations of the class to fully integrate.
Meet the Artisits:
Blending ancient rhythms with modern artistry, **Sarah—known on stage as Dragoness—**is a professionally trained Persian-American belly dancer, fire performer, and movement guide whose work channels the soul of her heritage through fluid movement and mesmerizing flow arts.
With over 20 years of professional dance experience, Sarah has graced some of the world’s most iconic stages—including NYC’s Radio City Music Hall for Ringo Starr of The Beatles, the Waldorf Astoria, and The Pershing for Matthew McConaughey—and has been featured in The New York Times.
Trained in traditional, tribal, and cabaret belly dance, as well as fire flow, Dragoness now shares her unique style with students and audiences across the globe—empowering women through dance and inspiring them to awaken their sacred temple within.

Shikari’s Sound Bath:
Shikari’s sound mixology brings you into the present moment—inviting mind and body to open to this sacred dance and child-like play of the soul. With over twelve years of experience as a DJ, he blends rhythmic, harmonizing beats ranging from deep disco and tribal house to shanti trap, kirtan, world beat, mantra, dub reggae, downbeat, and beyond—moving your body and tapping deep into your soul.
He performs live sound bath healing using didgeridoo, Native American flutes, handpan, and more.
