Belly Dance is an excellent way to use creative self-expression to promote health, encourage self-care, relieve stress, strengthen & tone muscle, & build self-esteem. Did I mention it's FUN?! This class is designed to break down basic belly dance steps & help you understand the movements that create the foundation of all belly dance styles. All levels of dance experience are welcome.
Each week, we will learn a different belly dance step/skill & play with creating movements. We will work on technique, posture, flexibility, balance and grace, all while building our awareness of the mind-body connection.
Please wear a fitted top, and leggings or loose, comfortable bottoms. bring plenty of water and feel free to bring a hip scarf or shawl to accentuate your hipwork!
