Laissez les bons temps rouler (Let the good times roll!)! Join us for Bellingham's Fourth Annual Mardi Gras Dog Walk!This event celebrates our furry friends, resembling The Mystic Krewe of Barkus parade during Mardi Gras in New Orleans!
Dress up your pooch in a fun carnival-like costume and/or the official Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, and gold. Humans are encouraged to attend in costumes too!
Here's this year's timeline and route. Join for all or part of it!
🟣 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Gather at Boulevard Park at Woods Coffee - all are welcome! We'll have the patio at Woods reserved. Meet friends and dogs, get hair tinsel by MiraculousEventz, and grab complimentary Mardi Gras beads! ALL AGES
🟣 1:00pm: Walk toward Fairhaven down the Bellingham Boardwalk via South Bay Trail and 10th Street ALL AGES
🟣 1:30pm: Meet The Bayou Opossums, a band playing New Orleans-style music, at the parking lot by Övn Wood Fired Pizza ALL AGES
🟣 1:35pm: Second Line down 10th St and turn west on Harris Ave. toward Paws for a Beer ALL AGES
🟣 2:00pm on - Celebrate at Paws For A Beer and enjoy drinks, dogs, and live music! 21+ (a family-friendly area will be available)
Plus: Optional continuation on a self-guided and family-friendly walk to Fairhaven Dog Park! ALL AGES
Meet adoptable dogs from Happy Tails Happy Homes along the route! Perhaps you'll meet your new best friend!
ADA accessible parking is available at Boulevard Park. The Bellingham Boardwalk is accessible, as is the sidewalk in Fairhaven. One portion of the full walk includes gravel. For full event accessibility information, please contact event organizer.
